I purchased the unit from a private party and the original owners manual was not available. Having the ability to download it was extremely helpful and clarified operating the equipment immensely. This is a complicated unit and without the manual I would not have been able to maximize it's potential. Thank you.

* Self-Timer
The self-timer is used in situations where the photographer is included in the shot. When photographer is away from the camera, use a tripod to prevent camera fall. Available Photography modes: All (�p.46-50)

Setting self-timer
The self-timer setting changes each time you press * (o).
Press the shutter button down halfway to focus on the subject and press the shutter button fully.
Double beep
Beep
Halfway pressed
AUTO 4
Fully pressed
The last displayed setting is the selected mode. : The picture is taken after 10 seconds. (: The picture is taken after 2 seconds.
OFF
Pressing the shutter button down halfway that focuses on the subject. Without releasing the shutter button, press the button all the way down (fully pressed) to start the self-timer.
